Starting with 50 Los Angeles nonprofit organizations, undergraduates work independently and collaboratively to determine how $100,000 provided by local donors will be allocated among three organizations.

Through researching organizations, conducting site visits, providing briefings, negotiating and solidifying group decisions within tight timelines, writing proposals, and delivering formal presentations, students learn to communicate and collaborate effectively, working to cultivate meaningful change. In lieu of a final exam, course members host a reception to celebrate the work of funded organizations.
